Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy
JASCO FTIR-4X with ATR PRO 4X and 21 CFR compliance — identifies organic, polymeric and inorganic materials.

FTIR is an analytical technique used to obtain infrared spectra of absorption or emission of solids and liquids. It helps identify organic, polymeric and inorganic materials with high accuracy.
Our laboratory runs a JASCO FTIR-4X ST LE CFR spectrometer with the ATR PRO 4X accessory and 21 CFR compliance.
How it works
Spectral range
7800–350 cm⁻¹ as standard, with 11500–375 cm⁻¹ optional.
Resolution
Adjustable from 0.4 to 16 cm⁻¹ to suit the sample and method.
Signal quality
A signal-to-noise ratio of 35,000 for clean, reproducible spectra.
The infrared spectrum identifies functional groups and provides characteristic properties of compounds — a powerful tool for characterising molecular structure and sample consistency.
